We are well underway with preparations for our 2026 Christmas Dinner and our Volunteer sign up lists are now full !

There is room for a few more drivers on Dec 25.

Here is a quick outline of what will need to be done in the Filberg Conference Hall, Dec 22-25

(Timings are approximate - TBD)

Dec 22nd    11 AM – 2 PM    

- a few helpers required to prepare 150 lb of fresh cranberries !

Dec 23^RD    9 AM – 1 PM     - Our Volunteer list for Dec 23rd is already FULL !

- chop bread for stuffing

- chop some veggies for stock

- chop some veggies for stuffing

- setup tables in hall

- get all supplies in hall organized for 24^th

- prep 1,000 goody bags

Dec 24^th    9 AM – 1 PM 

- prep all veggies, potatoes, sprouts, carrots

- portion 900 – 3oz cups cranberry

- portion 900 – 3oz cups gravy

- package 1,000 goody bags

Dec 25^th   8 AM – 2 PM

- portion and pack 850 dessert trays

- 850 bags cranberry/gravy/bun/napkins

- ready big bags for packaging

- bag bulk bakery items for delivery

- assist kitchen when required

- assembly line to package dinners @ 11 AM

Dec 25th Delivery of packages around the Comox Valley (12-2 pm)

Information for Delivery Drivers on Dec 25th  12 - 2 pm

- All drivers MUST have a navigator/helper

- All drivers MUST have a phone or vehicle with GPS for locating addresses and a phone for communication with guests and Delivery Coordinator

- When delivering to an apartment building, call the guest and have them meet you at the front door

- Arrive at the upper Filberg Center via behind the Native Son’s hall

- Dinners will be loaded approx. 12:30 – 1:30 pm (TBD)

- Each driver will receive 6-10 packages, going to 3-5 addresses

- When delivering a package, place the info slip into the bag

- Our delivery coordinator will contact you before Dec 25 with more details
